Search on for new American Golf boss as Styles exits

THE boss of retailer American Golf has left the business, it emerged today.

Kevin Styles, who joined the Warrington company in June 2012, has found a new role in the south east..

TheBusinessDesk.com understands Mr Styles, who previously ran Habitat, did not relocate to the region after joining American Golf, and maintained his family home in Surrey.
 
A spokesman for the business, which is backed by private equity firn Sun Capital, said: “American Golf confirms that Kevin Styles will be leaving the company after two years as CEO.

“A search is underway for his successor. In the meantime, the senior leadership team will assume  Mr Styles’ responsibilities.”

Meanwhile, in a move un-related to Mr Styles’ departure, American Golf has recently appointed Tony Walsh as retail operations director. He previously worked as retail director at Carphone Warehouse.

The retailer has also promoted long-serving HR director Diane Greenland and trading director Trudy Hills, who joined last year from Iceland , to its board, Companies House documents reveal.
