Profits jump at ANS Group

MANCHESTER IT services firm ANS saw pre-tax profits jump 30% to £4m last year.

The group said the growth of its managed services division, where clients outsource IT management, was responsible for the improved figures.

In the year to March sales increased by 8% to £47.7m and adjusted earnings, before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation grew by 24% to £5.3m.

The company, headed by chairman Scott Fletcher chief executive Paul Sweeney, works with clients such as Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Addleshaw Goddard Solicitors.

It said 90% of gross profit now comes from managed services and it is looking for more by targeting legal, healthcare, public sector and education sectors.

Founder and chairman Scott Fletcher said: “This year’s financial and operational results along with the shift towards managed services in our target markets confirm that we are heading in the right direction.

“We are now focussed on the next phase of growth and actively looking at acquisitions and recruitment of talent to build on our strengths across the business.”
