Appointments: Chief exec for Eagle-i, new directors at Rensburg and more…

RUNCORN-based Eagle-i Holdings has appointed Ian Walmsley as chief executive officer.
The Aim-listed company develops and supplies vehicle positioning and fleet management technology.
Mr Walmsley has held the position of chief executive officer of Eagle-i Telematics, a subsidiary of the company, since April 2007 when he was recruited to lead the restructuring and repositioning of the business.
The company says two major contracts – with AXA Assistance and a £4.5m contract with HomeServe – have helped to transform the business.
Chairman Rodney Graves said: “Ian has demonstrated considerable ability and performance since joining the company, having transformed our product offering and sales & marketing strategy, thereby enabling us to break into new high value customer groups.
“He has demonstrated exemplary leadership skills whilst leveraging his position as an industry authority in the field of vehicle telematics and the value it brings to vehicle operators, insurers and vehicle leasing companies.”
Prior to joining Eagle-i, Mr Walmsley was director of partnerships at rival vehicle tracking company CybIT Holdings.

WEALTH management firm Rensburg Sheppards has strengthened its board with the appointment of two new non-executive directors.
The Leeds and Liverpool-based firm has appointed Isla Smith, the former global head of tax at law firm Norton Rose, and the ex-co-head of global equities at broker Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.
Ms Smith worked for major City law firm Norton Rose for 24 years, including 19 as a partner and served on its management board for seven years.
Mr Lister joined Barclays de Zoete Wedd in 1983 where he spent 15 years and held senior positions including global head of sales and global head of European equities.
He joined Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in 1998 and in 2005 became co-gead of global equities before leaving in 2006 to enrol on a masters programme at London University.

ACCOUNTANCY firm Beever and Struthers has added to its corporate team, appointing Charles MacMillan as partner and Fran Henshaw as a senior manager.
Based in Manchester, they will specialise in providing advice to businesses that need rapid restructuring or refinancing.
Mr MacMillan has more than 25 years of experience in corporate recovery and insolvency work, including more than 15 years as a partner. After starting his career with KPMG, he became a partner at Leonard Curtis and then with BDO Stoy Hayward in Manchester.
Ms Henshaw has more than 20 years experience, including her previous role as national compliance manager at risk consulting company Kroll, and as part of the Leonard Curtis team with Mr MacMillan.
Mr MacMillan said: “Our arrival broadens the specialist corporate offering of expert advice and support for financially distressed businesses along with the wider corporate strategy support so vital in the current economic climate.”
The pair will become part of the 10-strong corporate team headed by partner John Jones.

RECRUITMENT and business psychology consultancy Psycuity has appointed a former European chief financial officer of iSOFT to its senior management team.
Claire Nuttall will oversee all financial management and corporate governance for the Newton Le Willows-based company.
Philip Hemsted, managing director, said: “We are very fortunate to be able to attract the calibre of people such as Claire, she has exactly the skills and experience we need to maintain our two-year high growth strategy and has already started to work on our five year plans.
“Claire turned down a number of positions with more established companies, which pays testament to what we have achieved at Psycuity so far and where we plan to be in the near future.”
Ms Nuttall joins the company following a career break in 2005 to start a family.
The company, which formed in February 2007, provides psychometric testing for recruitment, management team assessment and skills training.

CONSTRUCTION risk management company Hill International has appointed three senior consultants to its office in Salford Quays.
Nicholas Jones, Adrienne Yarwood and Nicolas Noyer will work across projects in the UK and abroad.
Mr Jones has 14 years of experience in the construction sector, which includes working on the $82bn Dubai World Centre Airport, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and the University of Manchester.
Mr Noyer has also worked on many large projects throughout his 12 year construction career, including a £130m pound railway project in south Manchester, while Ms Yarwood has worked as a consultant on construction dispute work in her previous roles.
