Overseas demand boosts Vision’s sales to record

VISION Support Services, the Lancashire company which supplies linens, bedding, office furniture and also helps retailers and suppliers source products, is on course for a record year.

The firm, whose brands include Hilden, Liddell, DeskCentre and Whitaker Services, has seen strong recent success in international markets.

An 81% rise in export sales over the last two years  to £7m has earned it a ranking in the Sunday Times International Track 200 list, and managing director Laurie Thomas said Vision is continuing to win new business and sell more into existing customers.

“We’ll hit £33m this year I expect, which will be a record for us. We are seeing good demand from across our portfolio of businesses.

“Liddell has just won a €180,00 contract with the Regent Hotel in Montenegro and a $120,000 order from the Hilton Hotel in Moscow for bed linen and towels, so we’re continuing to make progress internationally, which is pleasing.”

Vision, which also supplies linen to the world famous Burj Al Arab in Dubai, is owned by entrepreneur and investor Dan Wright. It employs 106 people, the majority in Blackburn, but also has several overseas offices including China, Dubai and Pakistan.

Its Vision Assurance businesses helps retailers or suppliers to retailers buy direct from overseas factories or source goods from them.
