John Jones elected as chair of pro.manchester

JOHN Jones, a partner at Manchester accountancy firm Beever & Struthers has been elected chairman of pro.manchester, the city’s professional services organisation.

Corporate finance specialist Mr Jones, succeeds another accountant, KPMG’s Nicola Quayle, in the role, which lasts for 12 months.

In his inaugural address Mr Jones, an avid Manchester City fan, hailed Manchester as the UK’s second city and announced a new partnership with the small business support and funding portal The Business Growth Hub.

pro.manchester’s SME Club, the online community providing advice to a range of businesses will partner with The Business Growth Hub to provide its members with the opportunity to benefit from the free advice on offer from SME Club experts.

Mr Jones said: “It is an exciting time to be involved in the professional services sector in Greater Manchester and to become chairman of pro∙manchester, the organisation continues to develop as a sophisticated business to business model, with key success factors our members, our events and our business development.”
