Appointments: Napthens; DJS Research; Vincents & more

LANCASHIRE law firm Napthens has appointed experienced a professional services accountant Shru Morris specialist as director of finance.
Ms Morris joins from Weightmans, where she worked in the national firm;s finance department in Liverpool. Before entering the the legal sector she worked as an accountant at Baker Tilly, where she also trained.
She has experience of corporation and personal tax, mergers and acquisitions, and finance transformation projects. At Napthens she will  take responsibility for the firm’s strategic and operational financial management.

STOCKPORT-based market research firm DJS Research has boosted its team with the addition of four new staff. 
Callum McCulloch and Daniel Townshend, who have both completed three-month internships, have become junior research executives, David Marchant research manager and Polly Halton a junior data services executive.
Managing director Danny Sims said: “All of our new recruits will be valuable assets to DJS Research’s ever-expanding team of staff. Our four new appointments reflect the company’s continued success, which has resulted in internal expansion to meet DJS’s increasing demand and workload.
“DJS is making serious investment across the company, with further recruits joining us in the coming months too.”

RICHARD Clithero has joined the commercial property team at Lancashire law firm Forbes Solicitors as an associate solicitor after a nine-year stint with Napthens.
He has experience in acting for clients across numerous industry sectors, including retail, manufacturing and pharmacy and has a particular expertise in dealing with property matters in the licensed trade. 
Adam Bromley, commercial property partner at Forbes Solicitors, said: “The demand for legal advice in the commercial property sector is increasing and with his experience and local knowledge, Richard is a great addition to the team.”

ANDREW Dunn has joined Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking  as a senior trading business development director.
Mr Dunn is joining a new team of 13 senior development directors, who will be working with introducers across the UK, such as accountants and financial advisers, to reach small business finding it difficult to access finance or are unaware of the different funding packages available to them.
 
He said: “The new team will play an important role in building relationships within local communities across the UK, helping us to speak to companies that may be struggling to find a funding package that suits their specific business needs.”

TALITHA Murphy has been appointed head of conveyancing at Lancashire law firm Vincents Solicitors after a pick-up in the housing market in the county with the department reporting a 49% increase in workload on last year.
Ms Murphy has been with the firm for almost five years and is also in charge of its Longridge office.
She said: “In the North West the housing recovery is well underway and leading to huge demand for qualified conveyancers to support the growth. It has been a gradual, sustainable rise, with pre-recession prices and volume not too far off. “
