Speedy changes continue as FD departs

MORE executive-level change is on the cards at Speedy Hire, the North West equipment rental group, with the departure of finance director Lynn Krige.

In a short statement Speedy said the board had mutaully agreed with Ms Krige that she will step down “on a date to be finalised to pursue other career opportunities.”

The South Africa-born FD joined Speedy in September 2011 from construction group John Laing, replacing Justin Read in the role.

The statement added: “Lynn will leave with the Board’s best wishes and thanks for her support and contribution to the business.  A formal search process is underway.”

Speedy added that it remains on track to deliver results for the current financial year in line with its expectations.

The company is alredy searching for new non-executive chairman after Ishbel Macpherson said in May she would be standing down in November.

When the new chairman and FD are appointed Speedy will have changed every top-level position in little more than 12 months.

Since the resignation of long-serving CEO Steve Corcoran in November 2013 after accounting irregularities were discovered in the company’s international division, new chief executive Mark Rogerson has overseen significant change.

Two weeks ago he announced a significant strengthening of the senior executive team with four appointments including a chief operating officer for the UK, a corporate development officer and head of major accounts.
