City shorts: Assura and Cyprotex

HEALTHCARE landlord Assura has struck a deal to buy a medical centre in Bradford for £2.6m
The Warrington firm is acquiring Leylands Medical Centre from the GPs who originally developed the 10,000 sq ft site.
It generates a passing rent of £162,000 and is let to the GP partners and Lloyds Pharmacy, each on new 25-year leases.
The firm has also agreed to forward fund a £3.2m medical centre in Essex that is being developed by a subsidiary of Ashley House.
Assura now has 234 medical centres with a further five under construction.

MACCLESFIELD drug testing firm Cyprotex is seeking permission to list loan notes it issued last year on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.
In September it issued £3m of fixed rate redeemable notes and £4m of convertible loan notes.
The company said a listing would make them more widely available and “attractive to investors”.
