My Parcel Delivery to swell staff numbers

ONLINE parcel delivery comparison and logistics busines My Parcel Delivery is forecasting further growth in the next year as it boosts investment in a new website and hires a further 12 staff to take its team to 35.

The Salford company, launched four years ago, has wooed more than  £1.5m in investment from North West funders Praetura Capital and Seneca Partners this year.

My Parcel Delivery said sales – which it did not disclose – had increased 95% in the last year.

Founder and managing director David Grimes  said: “This year’s round of funding has enabled us to employ some of the best marketing, customer service and web design talent on the market and invest in the marketing approaches and web development technology needed to help drive business growth.”

The company recently moved to new premises as part of its staff expansion programme and development of new services to sit alongside its core parcel delivery website, namely Third Party Logistics which includes warehousing and “pick and pack” services designed for fast-growing e-commerce, eBay and Amazon businesses.

An  upcoming redevelopment of the website will make the site more relevant than ever to users’ needs and is intended to drive further intensive growth.
