Appointments: Key hire for EMS; Tim Hamilton returns; Mills & Reeve & more

EVENT Marketing Solutions (EMS), has hired Lucy Miller as managing director for the Middle East and Africa.

The Ellesmere Port-based company has been looking for some time for a senior figure to lead its activities in the region and Ms Miller, who joins from marketing and advertising agency Gyro, will be based in Dubai.

In her new role she will enable the company to support the local and international brands looking to take advantage of Dubai’s successful bid to host Expo 2020.

She said: “I am really excited about the opportunity to help extend the company’s service offering and deliver a truly strategic integrated marketing approach to international roadshow campaigns for clients from around the world.”

Within the Middle East, over the last five years EMS has already delivered successful major campaigns across the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Jordan for clients including Ciena, Cisco, HP and Coca Cola .

EMS chief executive Keith Austin added: “After a thorough search and selection programme that saw many talented candidates, we are very excited to be welcoming Lucy to our team.”

EXPERIENCED corporate partner Tim Hamilton, who left Addleshaw Goddard earlier this year, has joined gunnercooke, the expanding Manchester firm.

Mr Hamilton has over 25 years’ experience in the Manchester market having worked for Andersen Legal and DLA Piper before a lengthy stint at Addleshaws.

TWO senior solicitors at the Manchester office of national law firm Mills & Reeve have been promoted to associate.

Andrew Moore and Liam Burnett both joined the firm in 2008. Mr Moore is a member of the family team, specialising in financial claims relating to divorces, while Mr Burnett specialises in insurance with a particular focus around claims against financial professionals and insurance brokers.

REGIONAL law firm Linder Myers Solicitors has appointed Diane Cogan to its family team in Manchester.

Joining from Northwich-based practice Susan Howarth & Co Ms Cogan specialising in a range of issues relating to local authority child care proceedings.
