DJI strikes mobile lottery deal

DJI HOLDINGS, which runs lottery websites in China, has struck a deal to supply its technology to a subsidiary of the state news agency.

It will provide the Xinhuacai Technology Company with a technology platform and a range of mobile lottery games and lottery services.

Xinhuacai, a division of the Xinhua News Agency, is aiming to become a leading provider and distributor of lottery products in China.

Darren Mercer, chief executive at Knutsford-based DJI, said: “To be selected by one of China’s most important institutions is both very exciting and we see this as a key strategic development for our group.

“We believe that our technology platform, marketing expertise and tailored lottery games for both Welfare and Sports lotteries, along with Xinhua’s position in China, will provide an ideal platform to capitalise on the rapidly expanding market for mobile lottery sales.”
