Appointments: Tecmark; Garricks; Forbes

MARKETING agency Tecmark has appointed Rob Weatherhead as operations director.

He will join the board at the Manchester firm following four years at Mediacom where he spearheaded the growth of the Mediacom iLab division from seven staff to more than 80. Prior to that he spent seven years with Latitude Group.

At Tecmark he will oversee the agency’s delivery of integrated multi-screen marketing campaigns that span design, development and digital marketing.

He said: “Tecmark has enjoyed some brilliant successes so far and has expertise in mobile and multi screen digital marketing that are way ahead of most agencies out there, couple that with its in house developed Miribase multi-screen ecommerce platform and the future looks incredibly bright.

“Since hearing about the agency’s plans for development in the market, I’ve been really excited about getting on board. I’m really happy to be a part of what’s going to be a really exciting time for Tecmark.”

BLACKBURN law firm Garricks has bolstered its team.

Jeanette Berry has joined as an associate having worked and trained at Preston-based Brabners.

She will be heading the firm’s private client department, advising individuals on wills, trusts and estate planning matters, including full estate administration, powers of attorney duties and inheritance tax planning.

Meanwhile, Ashlea Thornton, formerly a paralegal at Russell and Russell Solicitors, has joined as a trainee solicitor. She will support the firm’s specialist corporate and property teams.

Andy Herricks, partner at Garricks, said: “The appointments of Jeanette and Ashlea strengthen the firm and will help expand our private client service offering, with both already proving to be a real asset to both the firm and our clients.”

THREE trainee solicitors have qualified at Forbes solicitors after completing their two-year training contracts with the firm.

Lauren Smith has joined the commercial property team at Blackburn, Jennifer Baines will be working at the employment department in Preston and Marlon Ellis has joined the insurance team in Manchester.

Training principal Siobhan Hardy said: “Congratulations to Lauren, Jennifer and Marlon on their achievement, I wish them every success in their legal careers with us at Forbes Solicitors.”
