MARSHALLS has sold a three-acre site in Wrexham to independent builders’ merchants, Huws Gray.

It is opening a depot at the property at Llay Industrial Estate, four miles from Wrexham town centre.  

Legat Owen represented Huws Gray while CBRE acted for Marshalls.

Darren Hill, Associate Director of CBRE’s industrial agency in Liverpool, said: “The sale of this site is an excellent result for Marshalls plc and further proof of the return of occupier confidence within the sector.”

ROGER Hannah & Co has been appointed by Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council to dispose of a further 40,000 sq ft of commercial space across four sites.

They are: Hattersley Industrial Estate; Charlestown Industrial Estate, Ashton; Plantation Industrial Estate, Ashton; and Bayley Industrial Estate, Stalybridge.

James Goode, head of the private treaty agency at Roger Hannah, said: “This is the latest in a string of substantial instructions from Tameside Council and we look forward to continuing to work alongside their asset managers in assisting them to achieve their commercial property objectives.”

AN industrial investment in Worsley has been sold for £500,000 at Eddisons’ latest property auction in Manchester.

The units on the Wardley Industrial Estate occupy a site of around 2.3 acres and are let to two tenants, producing annual rent of £65,000.

Other highlights of the sale at the Premier Inn, Trafford Park included a vacant former nursery premises in the Bootle area of Liverpool and a part-tenanted commercial/residential investment on Euston Road in Morecambe.

Eddisons sold 19 lots and generated income of £1.7m. The Manchester event was part of a three-day sale which also included dates in Leeds and London. In total 52 lots sold, with overall proceeds exceeding £5m.

PAY Break, which says it is the only UK company to specialise in online point-of-sale finance has relocated to Grosvenor House, Barrington Road in Altrincham town centre.

It has taken a second floor office suite providing 850 sq ft on a one-year lease.

Managing director Julia Throop said: “We’re so pleased with the new office. We like the improved communication we have as a team with an open plan arrangement but we have the flexibility of easily changing the space to create private areas in the office. The facilities topped the list of our choices as it offers the ability to expand as we grow.”

Paybreak has relocated from 23 Barrington Road, Altrincham and was unrepresented. Regional Property Solutions and Canning O’Neill acted for the landlord, Magnus.
