Financial terms of Whitefield-based Amicus Building Products’ acquisition of Décor Cladding Centre from its former owners Michael and Lynne Wilkinson were not disclosed.

Manchester advisers acted on both sides of the deal, with HRC Law representing the vendors and TLT Solicitors and corporate finance boutique Rickitt Mitchell for Amicus.

Mark Traynor, a partner at HRC Law said: “This is an excellent deal for our clients who look forward to seeing Amicus take the reins of a business they have developed for many years.”

Jon Close of TLT Solicitors added: “We were delighted to advise Amicus on its first bolt-on acquisition (since the MBI of Magden Limited last year) of Décor Cladding Centre through what was a very smooth deal process.

“Décor Cladding Centre’s business and management team will complement and enhance the current Amicus offering and ensure that the enlarged group will continue to go from strength to strength.”

The deal was funded by Shawbrook Business Credit.

Company data shows that Amicus’ directors Brian Higgins, Harry Cross and Nicholas Friend each own 29.98% of the business, while Mary and Alan Robinosn both hold 5.04% each.
