Peninsula to open Scottish base

PENINSULA, the Manchester employment law consultancy, says a new office north of the border will take its workforce beyond 1,000.

The company, owned by serial entrepreneurs and investors Fred and Peter Done, is opening a base in Glasgow, a move that will create 55 jobs when it opens in March, with a further 15 expected to be added within the year after.

Peter Done, managing director of Peninsula said: “We already service over 11,000 Scottish businesses, so to open a new office in Glasgow is a no brainer.

“This way we can better service businesses based there and offer them enhanced employment law and health & safety advice. It also means that we will have field consultants who are based in Glasgow that will be able to visit more businesses in some of the more remote areas of Scotland.”

He added: “We are very excited at recruiting locally; for us the advantage is that we can service our Scottish clients with skilled people who know the country, geography and people better than we may do, being based in Manchester.

“We can, at the same time, advise businesses on regulation and workplace issues that are unique to Scottish employers.”

As well a legal and HR advisers Peninsula will be recruiting administration and telemarketing staff.
