Colliers sells Welsh hotel

THE Manchester office of commercial agent Colliers has completed the sale of another hotel.

The Hand hotel and restaurant at Llanarmon, near Criccieth, has been sold from an asking price of £695,000.

It was recently listed in the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide 2015.

Colliers was acting for Martin and Gaynor De Luchi, who have sold to Jonathan and Jackie Greatorex, a hotel marketing consultant and former headmistress of Bellan House prep school in Oswestry.

The Hand buildings, which date back to the mid-17th century, have 13 double bedrooms and a two-bed owners’ cottage. The property also has a lounge bar, restaurant, residents’ lounge, and games room.

Mr Greatorex said: “The inclusion in the Michelin Guide really puts The Hand on the map and is a fantastic achievement and a testament to all of the hard work the team have put in to make this amazing place what it is today.”

The sale was handled by Neil Thomson, an associate director in the hotels team at Colliers in Manchester.

He said: “The Hand is a great example of the type of quality and profitable asset being sold by Colliers International in North Wales, and follows recent deals in the area including those for Plas Maenan Country House Hotel, Maenan, Bodidris Hall, Llandegla and Grove Guest House Wrexham.”
