Regulator intervenes at Blackburn law firm

BLACKBURN law firm NP Law has been shut down by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
It took the action after a bankruptcy order was made against the firm’s owner Sabir Hussain following a petition by AIB Bank.
NP’s caseload has been passed to John Owen of Gordons in Bradford.
The SRA said it was, “necessary to intervene into NP Law Ltd to protect the interests of clients (or former or potential clients).”
A separate notice referring to Mr Hussain said an intervention was justified because he had been made bankrupt on October 28. The firm operated from offices in St Andrew’s Street.
