Glover leaves Alliance & Leicester

BRYCE Glover, Alliance & Leicester’s managing director of commercial banking, is to leave the group at the end of the year.

Mr Glover, 48, who is based at the bank’s Manchester Business Centre, was only promoted to the role in July. He was previously director of corporate banking.

His departure follows the bank’s merger with Santander-owned Abbey, which completed in October, and is a result of the merging of the banks’ two senior teams.

A spokesperson for Alliance & Leicester said Mr Glover’s departure was “by mutual agreement”.

“We are not going into the detail of whether it was a redundancy, we can just confirm he is leaving,” he said.

The spokesperson added that the managing director of money transmission and other senior people will continue to be based in the North West.
