DJD to project manage £45m hospital
PROPERTY consultant Drivers Jonas Deloitte (DJD) has been appointed to project manage a new £45m mental health hospital on behalf of Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Construction of the major new development, designed by architects BDP, is planned to begin next year at Whyndyke Farm, near Blackpool, subject to business case approval.
DJD said the new hospital will provide a state-of-the-art therapeutic environment for patients with plenty of access to light, outdoor space and gardens.
Ben Brookes, assistant director at DJD said: “The specialist design of the hospital will promote positive mental well-being, and provide patients with the best possible environment in which to recover.”
Contractors for the scheme have not yet been appointed.
