Voith secures more JLR work

AUTOMOTIVE sector supplier Voith Industrial Services, which has an operation in Bury, has won a second contract with Jaguar Land Rover in little more than a fortnight.

The new contract involves managing a range of services at Jaguar Land Rover’s manufacturing plants at Halewood, Solihull and Castle Bromwich.

The contract, an extension of existing Voith Industrial Services’ business with JLR, involves 700 employees.

Other technical services that Voith will be responsible for include electrical, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning maintenance. Facility management services will also include janitorial cleaning, office cleaning, waste management and buildings. No monetary value has been put on the contract.

Phil Spencer, Voith Industrial Services’ sales and business development director, said: “We have enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Jaguar Land Rover and are obviously delighted that it will continue in the future.

“The recent expansion of Jaguar Land Rover into new markets, and their introduction of new models, makes Jaguar Land Rover a strategically important customer, and we hope we can build on this success over the coming years.”
