TheBusinessDesk celebrates NW launch

MORE than 100 leading professionals and business people joined TheBusinessDesk at an exclusive event to celebrate the launch of its North West office last night.

Among those attending the event at the Hilton Hotel’s Cloud 23 bar in Manchester were Maurice Watkins, senior partner at law firm Brabners Chaffe Street – one of the country’s leading sports lawyers.

Some of the region’s most successful enterpreneurs, crane hire tycoon Martin Ainscough, Opal Property’s founder and chief executive Stuart Wall, Iqbal Ahmed of seafood giant Seamark, Simon Showman of Ultimate Products, Dan Wright of Vision Support Services and Terry Bland of Godel Technologies were also present.

Other leading business figures included: Michael Hartig from Barclays; Stephen Benson from Cobbetts; Zeus Capital’s Ian Currie; Richard Kennerley from Yorkshire Bank; David Allanson from Lloyds TSB; Nigel Mills from WH Ireland; Tim Rigg and Paul Smith from Bank of Scotland Corporate; Paul Lupton from Deloitte and Matthew Bryden-Smith from Rickitt Mitchell.

The marketing and PR world was out in force too, with leading lights from MC2, Citypress, RMS, Souter, and SKV joining the Businessdesk team for drinks and canapes.
