Media Mix: Citypress wins Swinton; I-COM & more

CITYPRESS has won the PR contract from Manchester-based insurance broker Swinton Insurance after a competitive pitch.   

The Manchester agency has been appointed to manage Swinton’s corporate reputation and increase awareness of its consumer brand. Led by director Victoria Blakeley and senior account director Mark Lester, Citypress will manage all consumer and corporate media relations for the Swinton brand and co-ordinate content for social, digital and earned media channels.     

Gerald McLarnon, marketing director at Swinton said: “As part of our search to find a new PR partner we held discussions with several leading agencies before ultimately deciding to appoint Citypress.  Their financial services expertise and creative ideas to enhance our current brand proposition impressed us at every stage of the tender process.”

Swinton was previously represented by Manchester-based SKV Communications.

I-COM, the digital agency has designed, developed and launched new websites for footwear retailer Moda in Pelle and IT server e-tailer King of Servers.

Both websites have been built on the e-commerce platform Magento and improve the customer’s shopping experience by providing increased  functionality and a smooth user journey.

ONE Marketing Communications, the Manchester agency, has appointed Sarah McLoughlin as senior account executive in its brand team and Anish Mistry as junior web developer in its digital division.

Anish Mistry joins One after four years at UK mortgage loan provider, Jerrold Holdings, where he was the main in-house web developer for the company’s marketing division.
 
Sarah McLoughlin brings two years of experience to the role having worked as a retail communications and marketing executive at THINK Publicity in Liverpool.

DIGITAL agency BLISS has completed a  website overhaul for financial recruiter Watson Moore.
 
BLISS was appointed by Watson Moore in May to redesign its website to improve usability, functionality and brand communication for both potential clients and candidates in the job market.
 
It has a  job search and filter feature, allowing candidates to find exactly the role they’re looking for. Candidates can also receive notifications when new relevant jobs are added online.
 
Jon Stutfield, BLISS chief executive,  said: “This has been an exciting project for us to work on and the initial results for Watson Moore are extremely positive. We hope we can continue to provide such positive results into the future.”
