Montpelier powers up

FINANCIAL services group Montpelier today revealed ambitious plans for major national and international growth.
The group, which is headquartered in Manchester and offers accountancy, financial services and tax planning services to high net worth individuals and businesses, has made three acquisitions already this year and is in talks over three more deals.
Chief executive Robert Jackson, who also head the accountancy arm, said: “We believe we have a unique model and we are very keen to grow. Montpelier is only three and a half-years old and was created by bringing together three related financial disciplines under one brand.
“I think it’s fair to say we’re an old head on young shoulders. My goal is to grow the turnover of the accountancy business from £15m to £25m by Christmas next year.”
Montpelier is owned by Mr Jackson and two business partners, David Yelloly, who runs the financial services arm and Watkin Gittins, who is based on the Isle of Man and who is an expert in trusts and tax planning.
Mr Jackson said domestic growth would be focused on the South and Northern Ireland, while internationally Montpelier would expand in locations, such as the Far East, where there are large expatriate communities.
