Optima signs up to Prologis shed

TRAFFORD Park-based distribution firm Optima Logistics has taken a 185,000 sq ft warehouse in Middlewich.

It has signed up to DC1 Prologis, close to junction 18 of the M6.

Optima said the move was part of an expansion plan that could create 50 jobs.

Managing director Kevin Williams said: “There is an increasing demand for our bespoke distribution services and this state of the art building will allow us to develop our capabilities.

“It is in an ideal location for many of our clients and it represents a significant investment in the ongoing success of our business.”

Andrew Griffiths, managing director of Prologis UK, said: “We aim to offer our customers the best opportunities in the market and we are delighted that we were able to meet the company’s requirements at Middlewich.”

Lamont and Savills acted for Prologis.
