Totalpost starts growth drive with acquisition
TOTALPOST, the Cumbria-based manufacturer and supplier of mailroom equipment and X-ray security screening machinery, has made a strategic acquisition.
The privately owned company has bought Daventry-based Mailing and Mechanisation UK, which will allow it to offer customers a wider range of products.
Founded in 1985 and M&M produces robust and reliable mail insertion machinery.
Its founder, Dave Kolb will remain with the business – which is retaining its own brand – for a “significant time” to permit a smooth handover to Totalpost, and will remain a consultant to the business thereafter.

“The acquisition of this business will allow us to expand our already successful complete incoming and outgoing mailroom service. This deal is part of major growth plans that we have for the business and is a great start to 2015.”
With its head office in Alston and a base in Warrington, Totalpost has businesses in France, Germany, South Africa and the US. Its export efforts have earned it a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
