GARY Welsh has been promoted to European sales manager at Lytham St Annes-based veterinary nutraceutical manufacturer, VetPlus.

Welsh, who takes on a new role after more than doubling sales as an area manager, will develop relationships with the company’s 16 existing distributors in Europe.

David Haythornthwaite, chairman at VetPlus said: “We always encourage our staff to reach and achieve their career goals. The commitment Gary has shown during his time as area sales manager has been very commendable and I am delighted to be able to promote him his new role as European sales manager.”

BESPOKE  Hotels  has appointed Jeff Ward as managing director of its soon-to-open Hotel Gotham, King Street Manchester.

Ward, who has worked in Russia and Germany, joins Bespoke having overseen the transformation of Wimbledon’s Cannizaro House into a renowned, contemporary destination boasting three AA Rosettes.

He began his career in hospitality as a trainee at the Park Hilton in Munich.  He then became conference and banqueting manager at the Bristol Hilton International, before moving to St Petersburg to be director of food and beverage in Russia’s first 5 star western-managed hotel, The Grand Hotel Europe.

He said: “I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to lead such an exciting project. I aim to utilise all my local knowledge, enthusiasm and attention to detail to ensure the King of King Street regains its crown not just in Manchester, but nationally as well.”

ROGER Hannah & Co, the North West firm of chartered surveyors and property managers has promoted head of valuation Jonathan Harrison to director.  

Director Simon Cook said:  “Since joining in June 2012, Jonathan has significantly contributed to the business, steering the valuation department forward in terms of efficiency and building client relationships.

NORTH West PR and communications agency Influential has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Laura Harris as PR account director.
 
Harris joins the Liverpool agency from Grayling, where she was account director in its consumer brands team.

THE  Manchester office of property firm CBRE has boosted its capital markets team with the appointment of Luke Wilson as surveyor.

Wilson has recently come through the firm’s graduate scheme having obtained MRICS status in November 2014 .

Colin Thomasson, senior director of Capital Markets at CBRE Manchester, said: “After an incredibly successful year, we are preparing for a similarly strong 2015 as investment activity within the North West continues to pick up pace. Luke already understands the CBRE business and will be a valuable addition to our busy team.”
