NORTH West professionals advised on a £20m+ healthcare deal in the East

NORTH West professionals advised on a £20m+ healthcare deal in the East Midlands.

Corporate financiers from Cowgill Holloway in Manchester and law firm HBJ Gateley Wareing advised the exiting shareholders of Nottinghamshire-based Eden Supported Housing in the sale to Sovereign Capital.

Eden, which has 560 staff, provides supported living opportunities for individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental ill health issues.

Ian Johnson, the Cowgill Holloway partner who structured and led the deal, said: “We have worked closely with the shareholders and the management team to secure the institutional buyout and we are delighted with the outcome.

“The transaction satisfies the aspirations of the vendors, as well as ensuring that the management team and Sovereign are well positioned to achieve their long-term goals.”

Eden’s property director, Mick Nichol-Smith, who jointly founded the business said: “This deal is great news for the business, our clients, service users and employees.  Eden has secured the backing of Sovereign Capital who share our vision, passion and enthusiasm for continuing to build and expand the business.”

Rebecca Grisewood, partner at HBJ Gateley Wareing led a team advising the vendors.

KPMG, Pinsent Masons and Clearwater Corporate Finance advised Sovereign Capital.
