A PRIVATE public house operator is to take over the Ye Olde Woolpack, the former free-house at 70 Brinksway, Stockport next door to the landmark Pyramid building.

The detached property with parking provides 4,180 sq ft of accommodation on ground and first floors with a cellar in the basement.
 
The property has been let on a three year lease at a rental of £15,000 per annum.
 
Ben Fallows of commercial agent TFC, who acted for the landlord a private individual, said: “The premises attracted a considerable amount of interest given its prominent location and potential”.

THE Altrincham-based children’s clothes boutique, Bumkins Designer Kids, has relocated to the town’s Stamford House.

It has taken a five year lease on the 11 Moss Lane outlet which provides 675 sq ft of accommodation. 

It is ideally located at the Stamford Street and Moss Lane crossroads, which is set to become a hotspot of heavy pedestrian footfall with the opening of the new transport interchange, its proximity to Tesco and the town’s revitalised market area.

BOLTON-based Seddon Developments, advised by Indigo Planning, has been given the go-ahead by South Ribble Borough Council for 19 new business and industrial units at Matrix Park in Chorley, to be developed on a speculative basis with construction due to commence in April this year,
 
The new development will include five larger units ranging in size from 3,600sq ft to 12,000 sq ft and 14 smaller units of 800 sq ft each, aimed at start-up businesses and SMEs.  When complete, it will bring 13,000 sq ft of new employment space on a 0.9 hectacre plot and more than100 new jobs to the area.
 
Matrix Park is one of the North West’s largest and most ambitious commercial development projects, comprising more than1.4m sq ft commercial floorspace on a circa 24 hectacre site.
 
Jamie Seddon, of Seddon Developments, said: “This permission marks a new phase in our involvement at Matrix Park and reflects wider economic growth.  We understand the needs of smaller, entrepreneurial businesses and hope that providing appropriate space will help local enterprises grow and develop.”
 
Nick Fillingham, associate director at Indigo Planning, said: “We worked closely with the council to ensure Seddons’ vision and aim for the site was understood, resulting in a straight forward planning application and a prompt permission so that Seddons can get on and deliver.”
 
The new units are expected to be ready for occupation in October 2015.

TP bennett has been appointed by DLA Piper to carry out the briefing and design of its new office space at Number 1, St Peter’s Square in Manchester
 
The appointment follows tp bennett’s role providing feasibility, due diligence and advising DLA Piper on its search for new premises in preparation for its relocation within Manchester city centre. Tp bennett’s initial appointment was made in spring last year alongside property agents GVA.
 
The tp bennett team is now working closely with property and construction consultants Ridge & Partners, on finalising the brief with a view for the RIBA design stages commencing in the spring, and with plans for occupation in summer 2016.
