EMS promotes after flying start

A CHESHIRE company that organises roashow events for its customers has made a number of promotions after a bumper start to the year.

Ellesmere Port company Event Marketing Solutions says it is seeing strong demand as a result of increased spending by brands on experiential campaigns.

EMS has secured £3.2m worth of new contracts so far this year, with both new and existing clients, including two leading home appliance brands and tours with B2B specialists Ortho Clinical Diagnostics and Parker Hannifin, the international manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems.

Reflecting this growth, and to drive more, the company has promoted Nic Whelan to its board as business development director. Whelan, who has worked at EMS for 13 years has played a key role in developing new income streams including roadshows with Barclays, Warner Bros and Allianz.

EMS has also promoted Gemma Edney from account director to head of client services.  She has been with the company for 10 years and will oversee project delivery worldwide. Subsequently, Laura Nash has been made up to account director, having previously been senior account manager.

Chief executive Keith Austin said: “As we start the year with our strongest financial performance in our history, I’m delighted to welcome Nic to our Board. He has contributed significantly to our success over the years.

“His knowledge of the industry and strategic approach to new business will be vital in us achieving our demanding targets as we move forward. Nic’s appointment means that I will be able to devote more time to developing our global network.”
