Appointments: RBS, The Write Angle and JMW

THE Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has appointed Steve Ford as director of RBS Corporate Banking.
Ford will head a team of 13 relationship managers across Preston, Blackburn and Burnley with the objective of increasing support to businesses across the region and to enhance economic growth.
He said: “The area has a hard-earned reputation as one of the most vibrant and dynamic zones of the North West economy and it is a real privilege to be able to work with businesses there.
“We have an excellent team of easily accessible relationship managers in the region, who work alongside customers to offer tailor-made financial solutions.

MARKETING communications agency The Write Angle has overhauled its brand and appointed a new director to grow its offering.
Tracy Archer has joined the Chorley-based company to oversee the roll out of Write Angle’s new brand both externally and behind the scenes.
With more than 20 years’ experience, Tracy honed her brand, digital and direct marketing skills during stints at RAPP, twentysix, BJL and later owning her own agency, Chocolate Communications.
Her client experience includes MyTravel, NHS Give Blood, Hitachi Finance and Swinton Insurance, with Tracy helping to put the latter back on TV after seven years.
The Chorley-based agency was founded in 2002 and has built a solid reputation for delivering award-winning PR and marketing campaigns for some of the North West’s biggest businesses.

DR Ronnie Tan has joined the specialist medical negligence team at law firm JMW as a solicitor.
Tan will be helping patients and families who have been injured by medical errors to challenge the mistakes that were made.
He joined the team at JMW after previously working in the field of medical negligence at both Hempsons Solicitors and Irwin Mitchell.
A qualified doctor, Tan initially studied medicine at the University of Manchester Medical School. He worked as a doctor for two years at Salford Royal Hospital before retraining as a lawyer at the University of Law, Manchester.
Eddie Jones, head of medical negligence at JMW, said Tan’s previous experience in both the legal and medical sector meant he had “fantastic expertise” to bring to his role at JMW.
