HIMOR sale clears way for 150 new homes

HIMOR has announced the sale of land for 150 new homes in Standish near Wigan to Countryside Properties.

Land director for HIMOR, Stan Shreeve, said: “Following successful promotion of the land through the planning process, we received significant interest in the side and received a number of very competitive bids, confirming the strength of the local market.

“Countryside provided an initial scheme with their bid which will offer an excellent range of properties for the area and assist in plugging the shortfall of new homes in Standish.”

Sophia Fleming of Countryside Properties said: “We are pleased to have secured an excellent site in a fantastic location. We are now progressing towards a reserve matters application and hope to be on site within the next few months.”

Mike Brassington, director of residential Land at Colliers International in Manchester, was responsible for marketing the site on HIMOR’s behalf. The sale price was not disclosed.
