Resin company celebrates £6m turnover milestone

STOCKPORT-based Resin Surfaces Ltd (RSL) has set its sights on further expansion after enjoying 26% growth in 2014, taking turnover to above £6m for the first time.

The firm, which boasts one of the most comprehensive ranges of resin system in Europe is aiming to invest significantly in adding to its portfolio of products and possibly hiring more staff.

Managing director Ivy Wroe said: “Early in the year we knew opportunities were coming and ensured that our whole operation was fit for purpose.

“Our skilled production and technical staff combined with quality product and service here in the UK and overseas kept us ahead of the curve and able to respond to growth in demand.

“We have managed to strengthen relationships with existing business, as well as attract new customers, giving us a great platform to sustain the growth. I am confident we are on track for our £7m turnover target by 2017.”

In one of its highlight projects for 2014 RSL provided flooring for the award-winning refurbishment of the Central Library in Manchester.

Resuthane, RSL’s best-selling specialist resin flooring for the food and drink sector, continued to perform well alongside continued growth of exports and improving market share.

Wroe added: “2015 is undoubtedly going to be focused on getting a pipeline of new products to market, befitting a market leader, and sustaining the push internationally, especially in food and drink markets, where Resuthane gives us such an advantage.”
