Deals round-up: Laytons; Pannone Corporate & more

A TEAM from law firm Laytons in Manchester advised the shareholders of Delph-based consultancy Evironmental Evaluation on its sale to listed materials testing company Exova Group.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Environmental Evaluations, is a specialist in asbestos management services for the nuclear decommissioning industry and employs 83 people.
The Laytons’ team was led by corporate partner Barney Leaf, supported by solicitor Rohit Fogla.
Leaf said: “The sale comes at a time when demand for environmental testing has increased as organisations aim to meet increasingly stringent national and international regulations. We are delighted for the shareholders of EE and pleased to have safely negotiated the legal complexities and brought matters to a positive conclusion for all parties.”

MANCHESTER law firm Pannone Corporate advised the shareholders of Yorkshire-based Express Elevators in its recent sale to Kone, the international elevator specialist.
Richard Hepworth, partner at Pannone Corporate, said: “There are great synergies between the two companies and Express, which has a strong reputation and customer base in the UK, will be an excellent addition to KONE.”
Express, based in Shipley, has more than 2,000 elevators in service and employs around 100 people. Turnover last year was £7.5m.
