Media mix: Polaris; MC2 and The Market Creative

MERSEYSIDE PR firm Polaris Media has agreed a deal to promote the official launch of a new multi-million pound ship for Swiss based oil and gas specialist  Promar Shipping Services in Barcelona.

Polaris directors Ben and Sam Pinnington travelled to Spain to promote the event as the ship, the Mamola Reliance, was blessed then officially named in a ceremony next to Barcelona World Trade Centre.

Sam Pinnington said the company was brought in to promote the event to the English language global maritime and oil and gas press, and media around Promar’s offices in Switzerland, the Middle East and West Africa.

He said the deal is the latest overseas job for Polaris, after it also promoted the completion of a multi-million pound conversion of Greek owned oil tanker the Olympic Luck, for the Gulf’s biggest shipyard Oman Drydock Company in January.

“Polaris is one of the few specialist maritime PR firms in the world,” he said. “We have spent the last eight years working with a wide range of maritime businesses building experience, knowledge and expertise.
