Winterhill wins £35m disposal contract

ASSET valuation and recovery support specialist Winterhill has won a global contract to dispose of more than £35m of construction and mining equipment.

The assets are located across South East Asia, India and North Africa as well as the UK and include a wide range of construction equipment as well as mining and excavation machinery such as dump trucks, bulldozers, and loaders made by companies like Caterpillar, Volvo, JCB and Ingersoll Rand.

Director of machinery as Manchester-based Winterhill, Iain Gash, said: “This is a mammoth job for our international team but asset valuation and disposal has always been at the heart of our business here at Winterhill so it is especially satisfying to be awarded a high profile contract such as this one.

“By selling the equipment via private treaty we can negotiate directly with buyers for a mutual price, rather than selling by an auction or tender process.

“It means we can listen to offers at any time and negotiate the best price.”
