In Brief: Chester racecourse hotel upgrade & more

A TWO-year programme to refurbish 97 rooms at the Holiday Inn Express hotel at Chester Racecourse is underway.

The investment will see a complete transformation of facilities in the rooms including beds, carpets, bathrooms and all fixtures and fittings.

Guests of the property, which is managed by Chester Race Company can already enjoy improved public areas including free Wi-Fi, an upgraded reception, bar and meeting room.

The upgrade came as the hotel announced occupancy rates of 95% across the year.

AN energy services firm has relocated to the Fylde coast to build on its continuing growth.

Inteb Sustainability has taken serviced space at Jubilee House in Lytham, becoming the first business to take advantage of the new facilities at the building which is owned by accountancy firm Danbro.

Inteb Sustainability chief executive Philip Hargreaves said: “This is an exciting time for the company and the move to new headquarters in Lytham gives us the ideal platform from which to grow our impartial and game changing services to the real estate sector.

“We enjoyed a highly successful period at the Rural Business Centre (at Myerscough) but the time was right to move into bigger offices where we can keep the team together on one floor and have room for expansion. Jubilee House is a perfect fit.”
