News in brief: Europanel; Media duo launch venture & more

A WEST Lancashire company which manufactures panels and display boards for major high street retailers has received a £100,000 loan from Rosebud Finance to support its growth after winning a series of new contracts.
 
Europanel, which employs 27 staff at its premises in Skelmersdale, is planning to create four additional jobs to fulfill the new orders and deal with an increase in demand from existing clients, which include Marks & Spencer, Betfred and Boots.

TWO experienced television journalists are launching a new production company aimed at corporate market.

Award-winning duo Liz Bloor (producer/director) and cameraman Steve Horrocks have founded Ribble Film, which launches in May.

The pair, who have both won awards from the Royal Television Society, have more than 50 years’ experience of TV production between them. They have both worked for the BBC, ITV, Channel Four and numerous independent companies.

Their credits can be found on a wide range of work from current affairs classics like Panorama and Dispatches to Perspectives and other high-end documentaries.
