Boost Juice targets £10m in opening spree

BOOST Juice, the Cheshire smoothies and fresh juices company, is embarking on its biggest-ever store opening programme, and is on track to hit £10m in sales for the first time.
Run by entrepreneur Richard O’Sullivan and his wife Dawn, Boost, which is backed by the Business Growth Fund, is opening seven outlets in the next six weeks.
O’Sullivan, who built up and sold Millie’s Cookies before bringing Australian concept Boost to these shores, said one of his new locations, Manchester Arndale, has particular significance, as it was the location of his first business 35 years ago.
The other sites to be opened in the brand’s major growth drive are: the Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex, and sites in Southampton, Reading, Glasgow, Westfield in Stratford east London and Cambridge.
The new stores, which are all located in high footfall locations, will create more than 100 jobs.
O’Sullivan said: “We are trading really well and are excited to be growing Boost and taking it to new locations such as Scotland for the first time.
“We are on track to hit £10m in turnover this financial year, which is a significant milestone for our business. We have recently opened our third outlet in the Trafford Centre, which continues to be the best location for Boost anywhere in the world.
“We are passionate about our business and we aim to be best in class at what we do while also growing profits.”
Boost, which also counts serial North West entrepreneur and philanthropist Bill Holroyd among its investors, has received £3.9m from the Business Growth Fund in two tranches.
