A LANCASHIRE restoration, structural and building repair company has received a £140,000 commercial mortgage boost to buy new premises.

Specialist UK Restorations will be able to buy the 2,600sq ft site at Scarisbrick Business Park in Ormskirk after striking the deal with Barclays.
 
The company has  have worked in the specialist construction industry with many public and private sector bodies on prestigious and sensitive buildings and locations.

Major projects have included Little Salkeld Viaduct in Cumbria and the Heysham 2 Power Station.

A BUSINESS which provides advice to companies to help them become more energy efficient is expanding with funding from The North West Fund for Micro Loans, managed by Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF).
 
Inteb Managed Services is a low energy and sustainability company set up in 2010 by Colin Jones to help businesses devise, implement and manage their energy and carbon emissions strategies in order to become more efficient and save costs.

The funding figure has not been released.

PROPERTY services provider UPS has moved into a new industrial unit in Skelmersdale, Lancashire following a £52,500 funding deal from NatWest.
 
The business, founded in 2007, specialises in property maintenance in the private and domestic domain as well as support for contract firms located throughout the country.

Services provided include complete refurbishment of void properties, surveys, cleaning, gas and electrical works, central heating installation and maintenance, structural and electrical maintenance, capital kitchen and bathroom works and replacement programmes. UPS specialises in disabled adaptations.

THE four-star Macdonald Kilhey Court Hotel near Wigan has announced an additional £330,000 investment project that will see 48 of its  bedrooms receive an extensive makeover.
 
The project follows a lavish transformation of the hotel’s Victorian house, Lakeside Suite, public areas and 14 bedrooms, which took place throughout 2013 and 2014 at a cost of £528,000.
 
The investments form part of an ongoing programme across the hotel group to improve the guest experience and will bring a fresh and modern feel to the hotel, ensuring that the venue meets growing demand for high quality accommodation in the North West.
 
The significant changes to the hotel began in early November 2013 with the most recent transformations due for completion at the end of the month.
