Council pitches in on Fairpoint recruitment drive

PROFESSIONAL services company Fairpoint Group has linked up with Chorley Council in Lancashire in a bid to recruit 60 more staff.

The company, which specialises in debt management, claims and legal services, and based in the Chorley outpost of Adlington, is looking to expand as its services grow.

A recruitment takes place at Chorley Town Hall on Monday, May 18, as Fairpoint bids to recuit local people to fill the new vacancies – from front line to senior management.

Chorley Council leader Alistair Bradley said: “We are delighted to work with Fairpoint to organise this event. The company is a major employer in the borough and is wanting to recruit local people as its business expands.

“One of our key priorities has always been to get local people into work, so we will do all we can to help local businesses grow and succeed and one way we can help Fairpoint at this time is to organise this recruitment drive on their behalf.”

The event will take place at The Lancastrian, Chorley Town Hall, and there will be information sessions at 2pm or 6pm for both jobseekers or those looking for a change in career.

Mel Foulds, group head of HR & OD at Fairpoint said:  “We are looking forward to being able to meet jobseekers or those looking for a change in career in the Chorley and surrounding boroughs.

“We want to dispel any myths or preconceptions they may have about working in the Debt Management sector and showcase some of the excellent opportunities we currently have at all levels within the business.”
