Oriel kicks off 251 homes development

WORK has begun on the first wave of a development of 251 homes at Halewood on Merseyside.

House builder Oriel, in a joint venture partnership with Bolton’s Seddon Construction, has moved on to The Woodlands site on Arncliffe Road in Knowsley.

It will be Oriel’s first build in the North West with the company pledging to continue building in the Liverpool City Region during the next three years.

Oriel, part of the First Ark Group, will build an initial 39 quality homes during phase one of ‘The Woodlands’ development. These comprise 22 three-bed semi-detached houses, three three-bed detached houses and four two-bed semi-detached houses for sale, along with 10 two and three-bed semi-detached houses for rent.

With ‘the triangle’ – Halewood Park – on the doorstep, new residents will be able to take full advantage of its family friendly facilities, such as woodland and wildlife walks, football pitches, a fishing pond and conservation club.

The 28 acre parkland is also close to a number of activities for outdoor enthusiasts, including the popular Pennine Cycle Trail and a number of sporting clubs. Transport links from Arncliffe Road are also excellent, both into Liverpool city centre and to the M62, M57 and M6, making it an ideal spot for commuters.

Stephen Heverin, director at Oriel, said: “Work commencing on site at Arncliffe Road means we’re one step closer to our end goal; constructing high quality homes and offering a range of home ownership options to meet the needs of buyers aspiring to own their own home and progress up the property ladder.

“Furthermore, everything we do is designed to give back to the communities in which we operate. So as The Woodlands and our other developments progress, we’re able to assist in community regeneration and the development of a strong neighbourhood spirit.

“We’re in this for the long term, and our high standards of customer service and commitment to strengthening communities will continue far beyond the progression of this development.”
