City beefs-up with sports nutrition deal

CITY Football Group, parent company of Manchester City FC, is pumping-up with a US sports nutrition company.

Denver-based MusclePharm Corporation, a listed business founded by a former American football professional, has signed a “multi-year” partnership with CFG, covering its four clubs – City, Melbourne City, New York City and Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan.

MusclePharm develops, manufactures, markets and distributes branded nutritional supplements in 2014 its revenues rose 60% to $177.4m.
