Accountancy firm’s turnover hits £1.4m

FULL-service accountancy firm Lloyd Piggott is celebrating record year-on-year growth in the 12 months to March.

The Manchester city centre-based practice enjoyed a turnover of £1.4m, up 15% on the previous year, thanks in part to its successful nurturing of existing client relationships which saw the firm offer additional advice on a variety of issues from R&D tax credits to auto enrolment for pension schemes.

The company has also picked up a significant amount of new business in 2015, with 36 new client wins across a variety of sectors since January this year alone, including construction recruitment specialists, Heeney Civils Ltd.

To support the raft of new business wins, Lloyd Piggott has appointed Chris Abbott as audit manager to bolster its existing, expert team.

Sue Redmond, director at Lloyd Piggott, said: “We have continued to invest in the structure of the business over the last 12 months, ensuring our services and team align with the requirements of our customers.

“The companies we work with see us as trusted business advisors and appreciate the tailored advice we provide without the complex jargon which is often associated with accountancy. They also recognise the valuable support our team can offer in additional areas associated with running a business.

“Client relationships have been key to the growth of our business and we will continue to look at ways in which we can add further value and provide additional support for our customers over the coming months.”
