Manufacturers in big get together

MORE than 100 manufacturing businesses are set to come together at an event at the University of Bolton soon to share ideas on how to strengthen the sector.

It has been organised after the Manufacturing Advisory Service – now part of the Business Growth Service – Bolton Manufacturers Group, the University of Bolton and Bolton Council joined forces to deliver Innovate 2015 in the Chancellors Building at the university on July 2.

The event will include a range of speakers who are manufacturing business owners, entrepreneurs and innovators sharing the success stories, approaches and creative ideas.

Chairman of the Bolton Manufacturers Group, Gary Sheader said: “Events like this make a real difference to manufacturers in the North West.

“Keeping up to speed with technology and innovation is a must to remain productive and competitive in the industry.

“Our group is almost four years old and has a core of manufacturing people that are extremely supportive of each other and sharing ideas with the rest of the members.

“This helping hand is also offered to a local charity each month whom the group invite into their monthly meetings to share how they are making a difference locally.”
