Planning firm gets easyHotels advisory role

MANCHESTER-based HOW Planning has been appointed by budget hotel chain easyHotel to advise on its first two developments in the North West.

HOW will be putting together a change of use planning application for the former office development on Castle Street in Liverpool, which is set to become easyHotel’s first hotel in the region when it opens in spring 2016.

A second hotel in Manchester’s Northern Quarter requires a listed building consent and change of use planning application to transform Bradley House, located at the junction of Dales Street and Newton Street, into a 114 bedroom hotel.

Planner at HOW Planning Phil Grant said:  “easyHotel has already established a network of ‘super-budget’ hotels in city centre locations throughout the world and is growing and adding new locations all the time.  The Manchester and Liverpool schemes are amongst the latest additions to the easyHotel portfolio and will further enhance the North West hotel market.

“It is great to be working with such an ambitious and positive developer and we look forward to being able to make further announcements about both projects.”
