Furniture retailer takes last retail park space

THE final available unit at Ellesmere Port Retail Park in Cheshire has been let.

Aberdeen Asset Management, represented by international real estate adviser Savills, has rented the space to JYSK.

Following a letting to Home Bargains and the resizing of Halfords and United Carpets, the Danish furniture retailer has agreed a new 10-year lease for a 6,350 sq ft store. It will pay a rent of £59,000 per annum.

Charlie Greenhalgh, out-of-town retail director at Savills, said: “JYSK will complement the existing tenant mix well and is the final step in the reinvigoration of Ellesmere Port Retail Park, which is now fully let.”

TDH Estates acted for Aberdeen Asset Management as development manager. JYSK was advised by Morgan Williams.
