Sandscale Park up for grabs

CBRE’s Industrial Agency team in Manchester has been instructed to market 30-acre Sandscale Park in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

The site comprises a 100,000sq ft warehouse unit with offices just off Park Road in Barrow on the coast of Cumbria.

The town has seen significant expansion in recent years with long term investment in the energy and shipbuilding sectors. Local occupiers include BAE Systems, GlaxoSmithKline, Kimberly Clark, Sellafield Ltd, Pirelli, United Biscuits, McBride, James Fisher, Siemens and L-3 Communications.

Paul Cook, senior director at CBRE Manchester, said: “Sandscale Park represents a unique opportunity to acquire an existing large-scale industrial unit with significant potential for expansion and redevelopment close to Barrow Docks. The whole area has witnessed an upsurge in investment and expansion and this prime site is set to attract high levels of interest.”
