Media mix: Kidworks; McCann Connected & more

KIDWORKS, the international arm of Manchester-based agency Milk Jnr’s which specialises in children’s activity packs, has been appointed by Germania, one of Germany’s longest established airlines, to design, create and launch a brand new pack that will be rolled out across its fleet of 22 aircraft.

Germania’s route network currently includes more than 140 international destinations in Europe, North Africa and West Asia.

Kidworks’s remit will see it develop a pack that will both help to keep children engaged during their flight and in turn enhance the flying experiences of their fellow travellers. Germania’s brand character ‘Gerry’ will be incorporated into the new packs which will be in-situ for 18 months. They will be introduced in November.

Milk Jnr’s and Kiworks client services director Zoe Telfer said: “Germania has a strong heritage that spans some 30 years so we are delighted to now be working with the airline. Aviation is a key growth area for us so this is another project that will help to further strengthen our credentials and experience in the sector.”

 MCCANN Connected, the digital marketing operation within integrated marketing agency McCann Manchester has won The Football Pools following a competitive pitch.

The digital agency that was launched early in 2015 following a restructure within McCann Manchester has been appointed as integrated digital agency by The Football Pools, part of the Sportech PLC, a world leader in pools betting operations and services.

The appointment is effective immediately and will see the 140 people strong McCann Connected team assume responsibility for customer acquisition across all digital channels as well as SEO, social and paid media campaigns. The scope also includes a comprehensive CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) programme to enhance all existing digital platforms.

RULE 5 has added three new clients to its portfolio of media and creative accounts.

Veteran Israeli production company, Gil Productions, international media agency, K7 Media, and creative agency, CIC, have all been signed by the MediaCityUK based agency.

Work is already underway with Rule 5 appointed to raise awareness of the respected agencies in target international and UK business and trade media.

Activity includes the promotion of new campaigns, formats and appointments, the profiling of senior business heads and news generation.

Rule 5 has also been engaged to implement a social media strategy for CIC. The agency, with offices in Stoke and Hangzhou, China, counts Victoria Plum, Morphy Richards and Stax amongst its clients.
