Appointments: MC2; Story Homes; Nuffield Health & more

COMMUNICATIONS agency MC2 has recruited three graduates to enhance its PR and marketing teams.
 
Rosemary Reeves joins the brand team from the University of Liverpool, where she graduated with a degree in English Language.

Her new role will see her working on a number of business-to-consumer accounts which includes Mondelez International, North West Air Ambulance and Inspiration North West.
 
Ellen Spellman has been appointed graduate account executive on the business advisory team, after graduating from the University of Manchester with an English Literature degree, and will be working on a client portfolio that includes international law firm BLM, wound care specialist Crawford Healthcare and manufacturer James Briggs.
 
Charlotte Fitzgerald has also been newly hired as graduate account executive on the corporate advisory team, supporting accounts including Secure Trust Bank, North Edge Capital and Palatine Private Equity.

She graduates this year with a degree in English and Related Literature.

MC2’s Graduate Recruitment day saw twenty Graduates go head to head in an Apprentice style selection process, where candidates were asked to work on real client briefs and present their campaigns to the agency.
 
The day had received an unprecedented number of applications, which were then whittled down to just two successful additions. In light of the high volume of applicants MC2 intend to run the recruitment scheme biannually.

STORY Homes – an award-winning residential property developer with schemes across northern England and Scotland – has bolstered its site management team at the Waters Edge development in Whitehaven in Cumbria.

The appointment follows a surge in demand for homes in the region.

The developer has appointed assistant site manager Angela Metcalfe to support the team at Waters Edge to deliver an ambitious development programme.

The site has seen an influx in sales over recent months, leaving over 82% of properties sold.
 
Metcalfe brings a wealth of knowledge to the role with over 10 years’ experience in construction, having previously worked at Carlisle-based Senator Homes, Persimmon Homes and Lovell Partnerships, where her hard work was recognised with an NHBC Pride in the Job award.

NOT-for-profit organisation Nuffield Health is continuing to grow its Manchester team with the appointment of Joanne Lofthouse as clinical commissioning director and Nassar Hussain as imaging services manager to support the delivery of its integrated health services across the city.
 
Lofthouse, who joins from Great Ormond Street Hospital, will assist with the delivery of Nuffield Health’s state-of-the-art hospital and wellbeing centre off Hathersage Road, which is due for completion in 2017.

One of her key roles will be to establish Nuffield Health’s new diagnostic suite, which is currently under construction at Manchester’s Citylabs and is due to open later this year.

Nassar will be responsible for the delivery of the diagnostic suite’s imaging services and joins the team from BMI Healthcare.

CHESTER-based technology provider Tuxedo Money solutions has appointed Joanne Briggs and Drew Cockton as client relationship managers for its travel sector clients.

Both new recruits bring a wealth of experience and specialist knowledge in the travel industry to Tuxedo’s offering.

Tuxedo is already an established player within the travel sector as it has continued to tap into a highly lucrative market.

Briggs joins the company with over 22 years’ experience working within the travel sector and over 15 of those years in a managerial position.

She previously worked for The Global Travel Group as sales and business development manager covering the south of the UK.

MANCHESTER-based Comms solutions specialist The Nycomm Group has appointed Rob Townsend as group chief marketing officer to spearhead all marketing activities – and help accelerate overall growth.

Townsend’s career spans more than 20 years across a wealth of sectors with a host of B2B ICT experience. He has held senior agency and client-side positions and will bring seasoned knowledge to the department.

“This is a significant appointment for us and marks our commitment to marketing and communications across all three brands in the Nycomm portfolio – Nimans, Rocom and Videonations,” said Nycomm chairman Julian Niman.
