Companies on the move

CLOUD-based cost control for the hospitality sector specialist Fourth has doubled its office space by relocating to a 8,205 sq ft in Macclesfield.

It has moved to the Orbit Developments facility on the second floor of Greenway House, Tytherington Business Park from Lyme Green Business Park.

Fourth was established in 1999 by restauranteurs Derek and Edwina Lilley for hospitality professionals.

They developed a variety of software products which could help businesses in the sector gain maximum control over their two key costs – labour and stock.

Fourth’s new base at Greenway House will provide office space for up to 150 staff. Fourth now has more than 1,000 customers in 57 countries including many global brands such as Pizza Express, Jamie’s Italian, Travelodge and Fullers to name but a few.

Head of bureau services at Fourth said: “Our growth strategy at Fourth has always been supported along the way by local landlord Orbit Developments who have helped us secure the right office space for our business to grow.”

AN engineering recruitment consultancy is expanding and relocating to new offices in Altrincham, Greater Manchester.

Akton Recruitment has taken a 2,060sq ft first floor office suite at Garden Place, Victoria Street on a five year lease at a rental of £15 per sq ft.

It is moving from Gosvenor House, Barrington Road, Altrincham.

Akton claims to be one of the UK’s fastest growing engineering recruitment consultancies covering manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, international construction, renewable energy, oil and gas.

Akton director Rishi Kapila said: “We are a targeted agency with plenty of experience in matching qualified engineers to clients’ job specifications.  We pride ourselves on our professional approach and understanding our client and candidate needs, which has enabled us to grow the business so effectively.  This move will more than double our office space to accommodate existing requirements and future growth”.

Daniel Lee, director, Regional Property Solutions, who let the offices on behalf of the landlord Victoria and Springfield, said: “Garden Place provides Grade A office space, which is in short supply in Altrincham so it’s not surprising that this office suite was snapped up in a few weeks.”
